What To Expect During a Massage

~It is customary for a new client to fill out a Client Medical Profile on your first
visit.  This helps alert the therapist of any contraindications &/or allergies.

~ It is best, for your comfort, not to eat a full meal within an hour before your
session.  A light snack should be fine if necessary.

~ Remember to silence your cell phones & pagers. Even vibrate can be
disturbing in the tranquil setting we have set up for you.

~ We have created a relaxing atmosphere for your relaxation. Dim lights, soft,
soothing music, and lightly scented aromatherapy.

~ Please let us know if you need an extra a blanket in case you get cold.

~ Make sure you are comfortable. Let us know if we can change the massage
table temperature, the volume or style of the music, or anything else.

~ While the therapist works, you will be fully covered and warm at all times.  If you
become cold, please let the therapist know so adjustments can be made.

~ Healing Energy clients remain fully clothed unless the healing is integrated into
a massage therapy session.

~ Most massage clients remove all of their clothing although it is more than OK to
leave underwear on.

~ Your private areas, as well as parts of the body that are not immediately being
massaged, will be covered at all times by the linens

~ You will have complete privacy to undress and dress while the therapist is out
of the room.

~ Areas of the body that the therapist may massage include: head, face, neck,
décolleté (just below collar bone), back, arms, legs, Glutes (buttocks), stomach(if
requested or for specific treatments), and feet.

~ Be sure to let the therapist know of any medical conditions (diabetes,
injury, pregnancy) you may have that need special attention.

~ Following the session, it is ideal to relax, maybe take a bath or rest, drink
plenty of water or herbal tea. It is suggested not to workout or do anything
strenuous to let the therapeutic benefits last as long as possible.

~ It is appreciated, but never required, to show your appreciation for good
service, to tip therapists 15-20% of the regular session price,
Exception: No tips
are accepted for Nutritional Counseling, Healings & House Blessings.

And although this should not be necessary:
~ Sexual harassment is NOT tolerated and may be reported to proper authorities.
